On January 15, 2025, MARBAS steering committee member Helmut Reimitz co-organized an exchange workshop on the study of medieval manuscript cultures with the Institute of Medieval Studies at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Greek and Latin Studies at the Charles University of Prague in Vienna. In the first session, the Prague members introduced into some of the digital tools they developed for the study of medieval manuscripts; in the second session Professor Lucie Doležalová and her team presented their new project Innovation and Inertia: The End of Medieval Scribes.
